This score slaps! I hope Disney releases this in the score soundtrack. Mulan is probably the most selfless of the Disney female characters. Almost never in the movie has she talked about what she wants or desires, but instead focuses on what she needs to do. She doesn't complain about being trapped in box, but rather acknowledges the rules and traditions, tries to bypass it so that her father doesn't have to die. Mulan isn't a rebel trying to break the mold or start something revolutionary, but a young woman who chooses to leave what could possibly be her comfort zone, and do what is best for her family.

Yall really love to complain about this movie when you KNOW youre still gonna watch the movie when it comes out. 🙄. Know what? Im excited for this! I live the animated version yes and I love the live action movies usually because Im not nitpicky usually. But this. This looks amazing. Its not a musical. As much as I love the music in Mulan, I love the instrumental Reflection playing in the back, I love the action focus happening, and Im okay with a witch instead of Mushu because theyre changing up the formula. The animated or this isnt the exact Chinese myth of Mulan but both seem to be a beautiful take. This is just a different version of Mulan and Im loving it.
